Best time to visit Tanzania

The dry seasons – January to March and June to October – are best for wildlife viewing. The short rains (Nov–Dec) and long rains (April–May) bring lush landscapes and fewer tourists.

The best chance to witness the Mara River crossings during the Great Migration in the Serengeti is from July to early September, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras make the perilous leap into crocodile-filled waters

Ndutu Calving Season (Jan–Mar): Witness hundreds of thousands of wildebeest giving birth, with predators close at hand — one of nature’s most thrilling spectacles.

For climbing Kilimanjaro, January–March and June–October are ideal.

Zanzibar is wonderful year-round, with dry spells from June to October and December to February.
